How to enter an Italian master’s with a Kazakhstan degree

Choose a Laurea Magistrale in your field, apply during an open intake and prepare your degree certificate, transcript and language evidence. A Kazakhstan bachelor’s can provide a basis for admission: the Italian university assesses the qualification’s suitability and access to the next study cycle. Choose the programme and deadline first, then collect documents for its requirements. For an academic master’s, look for Laurea Magistrale: 2 years and 120 CFU. A Master universitario normally lasts 1 year and awards 60 CFU; it is a different qualification that does not by itself provide access to doctoral study. When to apply for 2027/28

Each window closes at 23:59 CET. Architectural Engineering, Building Engineering for Sustainability and Management of Built Environment follow Engineering dates. The additional March call is for EEA applicants and eligible residents of Italy; an ordinary non-EU applicant living in Kazakhstan cannot rely on it. How to prepare your academic and language evidence

Collect your transcript, official grading scale and descriptions of relevant courses. The university compares what you studied, not just the degree title; Bologna may examine individual course syllabi when necessary. University of Bologna: foreign qualification assessment, Checked: 2026-10-12.

List your selected programmes and record their subject requirements, language evidence, compulsory files and deadline. Course descriptions are particularly useful when changing field: show which required subjects you have already studied. Do not assign Italian subject codes to your courses yourself.

University of Bologna: requirements example for 2026/27

Engineering for Historic Building Rehabilitation requires B2 English and suitable academic preparation in relevant fields. An English-medium instruction certificate, or MOI, from a Kazakhstan university is not admissible for this programme: Kazakhstan is outside the accepted country list for this evidence. This intake is closed to an ordinary non-EU applicant living abroad: the last general call ended on 2 July 2026. The 28 August - 13 October 2026 call is EU/EU-equivalent only. No confirmed 2027/28 dates for this programme have been found. Admission call, Checked: 2026-10-12.

A board assesses foreign curricula, reviewing preparation individually where direct subject mapping is impossible. Academic preparation and position in the merit ranking matter. Which documents to prepare in Kazakhstan

Ask your university for the degree certificate, complete appendix or transcript, grading scale and available Diploma Supplement. Kazakhstan’s standard provides for universities within its scope to issue an institution-format qualification document with an appendix and/or European Diploma Supplement free of charge. This does not mean every graduate automatically receives both supplements; ask whether your university can issue the specific format accepted by your chosen Italian institution. Compare the diploma details in eGov with the original. If there is an error, the higher and postgraduate education record-correction service is available through eGov free of charge; its specific rules state 15 working days. The Bologna 2026/27 example requires a copy of the foreign diploma translated into Italian or English, not a diploma originally issued in those languages. Kazakhstan’s apostille service for higher and postgraduate education documents takes 20 working days and produces a paper result, even if initiated through eGov. When you need CIMEA or an apostille

Match your award to ARDI’s “Бакалавр дипломы”, KZ - 1. For covered qualifications, Correspondence is free and immediate; order Verification if required. Ordinary timing: 60 working days after payment and complete documents, with no urgent procedure; institutional responses can cause delays. PoliMi separates authenticity and eligibility. Authenticity: Verification, an accepted electronic apostille or the awarding university’s database when a verification link or QR code appears on the diploma itself; paper apostilles are rejected. How to apply and move on to enrolment

Upload the compulsory files to your chosen university’s system, complete submission before your deadline and save the submission receipt. A positive application assessment does not complete enrolment: PoliMi requires the necessary qualification documents and may additionally request Dichiarazione di Valore or CIMEA Comparability.
